So I just wrote this whole post and lost it but anyways…. We got to see the beautiful painted desert and traditional Navajo Wigwam houses. It rained off and on today. Poor Matty, his wheelchair kept reclining by itself. On Ron and I’s biking shift we got to see a rainbow after the rain . At the end of the day we ended in Cameron and as we where waiting for the RV to come ( which took forever) all of the sudden I felt sharp pains down my foot. I looked down to find a hundred….
FIRE ANTS all over my feet! I started screaming OUCH OUCH trying to flick them off. The strong females though had already conquered me , stinging me through their abdomens with their venom. They even let out a hormone (or something) to let the other members of the group know , my feet are tasty. It hurt so bad I wasted a whole bottle of water pouring it over them. On the bright side of the night, we ended up going to Cameron trading post where Matty got a bunch of awesome native american blankets. I was good though and resisted the temptation until the next morning… After feeling Matt’s blanket I needed one ! It has a reverse design on each side, is queen size, and did I mention has beautiful native american designs. Also got the girls some rings, Mamadukes and Scarlito, they deserve it.
Now off to the Grand Canyon our first day off in over two months ( September 8)
