It was very hot in the desert today, over 100. We ended in the same town that we stayed in the night before, which was covered in snake holes. I am completely convinced if I fell in one of those holes it would of gone up to my knee. Luckily we didn’t see any snakes though just a fat toad. A crazy day today , mango chili lolipops, our first few tumbleweeds, and a duststorm. The boys just stopped in the road and this twister like dust object slowly spun around and then decided to cross the road. It was the strangest thing . No more flies today :) We stayed at a campground in Salome that had palm trees all across it. Thats right palm trees, I had no idea that existed in the desert. Then we had a late afternoon spa day. Matty dubbed us Helga and Hana and we had shampoos, conditionings, and oatmeal facial scrub from family dollar that we used on all our grimy nasty feet. This is all happening outside on the side of the RV mind you . The dogs got second session and then we all felt a little cleaner. We basically stayed outside until about 7 because it was soo hot !
